Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 16, 2026

1. Introduction

LVGreen LLC (doing business as Flux, and referred to herein as "Flux," "we," "us," or "our") operates a web-based application designed to help individuals manage income from multiple sources, log work activity, generate estimated tax figures, and accrue time off based on surplus earnings. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with your use of the Flux platform.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York. By accessing or using Flux, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Scope

This policy applies to personal data collected through the Flux web application, related websites, emails, and other communications between you and Flux. It does not apply to third-party sites or services that may be linked from within the Flux application. Flux is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

3. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

  • Account Information — Your name, email address, username, and password.
  • Billing Information — Billing address and payment method token. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Flux does not store full card numbers or raw payment details — all payment data is tokenized by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
  • Financial Data — Income sources, work logs, hourly rates, fixed project fees, recurring income entries, bonuses, amortized ("Jump Start") income, and tax payment records you enter manually.
  • Tax Profile Information — If you use Flux's estimated tax feature, we collect the tax profile details you provide — such as filing status, state and locality, and dependents claimed — to calculate an estimated federal, state, and local tax figure. This estimate is generated automatically from the information you provide and is described further in the Terms of Service.
  • Pay Stub Data — When you upload a pay stub or similar document, Flux parses the document to extract relevant income and tax information. The uploaded file is stored in private storage accessible only through short-lived, individually authorized links, and is used solely to extract the figures you see in the app. See Section 3.F below for important details about how long the file is kept.
  • Referral Data — If you participate in the Flux referral program, we collect your unique referral link activity and track when referred individuals sign up using your link. We record the number of successful referrals associated with your account for the purpose of awarding referral credits. Referred users' signups are logged for this purpose only.
  • Support Communications — Messages, inquiries, and attachments you send to our support team via email or in-app chat.
  • Product Feedback — If you submit feedback, feature requests, comments, or votes through our in-app feedback tool (UserJot), we collect the content of your submission along with your account email to associate it with your account. This feature is available only to logged-in users.

B. Automated and Technical Data

When you access and use Flux, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your device type, browser type and version, operating system, IP address, pages visited within the application, referring pages, session duration, and general usage metrics. This information is used to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

We also use an error-monitoring tool (Sentry) to help us detect, diagnose, and fix technical problems with the Service. When an error occurs, Sentry captures diagnostic information such as device and browser details, error stack traces, and the state of the application at the time of the error. Because this diagnostic capture reflects what was happening in the application when the error occurred, it may incidentally include other information you were viewing or entering at that time.

C. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Flux uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to support application functionality, maintain session state, and analyze usage patterns. We use the following third-party tools for analytics and fraud prevention:

  • Hotjar and Contentsquare — for user behavior analytics and experience improvement
  • Google reCAPTCHA — for fraud prevention and bot detection

You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the application.

D. Sandbox Mode Data

Free plan users may use Flux's Sandbox Mode to simulate income scenarios and model financial goals. Data generated through Sandbox Mode simulations is treated as user data subject to the same collection, retention, and deletion policies described in this Privacy Policy.

E. Third-Party Service Provider Data

We may receive limited data from our service providers as part of operating the platform, such as delivery confirmations from our email provider. We do not purchase or receive personal data from data brokers.

3.F. Pay Stub Auto-Extraction and File Retention

When you use Flux's pay stub auto-extraction feature (for example, during onboarding or when quick-filling a work log entry), the pay stub file you upload is transmitted to our hosting provider's private file storage and to a third-party document-extraction service that reads the figures from it. The extraction runs against a short-lived, individually authorized link to the file; no public link to your pay stub is ever created.

What we keep: Only the structured data extracted from the document (earnings, hours, and tax withholding figures) is saved to your account. For the auto-extraction flow, no link to the original file is stored in your account data.

What we cannot yet do: Flux's hosting platform does not currently provide a way for us to delete an uploaded file from private storage. As a result, the original pay stub file itself remains in private storage after extraction, even though no link to it is kept in your account and it can only be accessed through a new individually authorized, short-lived link. We are working with our hosting provider to enable file deletion and will update this policy when that capability is available. If you would prefer not to have a pay stub file retained, you may enter your earnings and withholding figures manually instead of using the upload feature.

Saved pay stubs: If you explicitly attach a pay stub to a work log entry for later reference, a private, non-public reference to that file is stored on that entry so you can view it again. Access to that reference is checked on each request to confirm it belongs to you (or, for an administrator, is logged). The same retention limitation described above applies to the underlying file.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Flux application and its features, including account authentication and data storage through our hosting provider, Base44
  • To process subscription payments and manage billing through Stripe
  • To calculate income summaries, goal progress, Time Off Bank accruals, and estimated tax figures based on data and tax profile information you provide
  • To respond to support requests submitted via email or in-app chat
  • To collect and manage product feedback and feature requests submitted through our in-app feedback tool (UserJot), available only to logged-in users
  • To send transactional communications (account updates, billing notices, and service alerts)
  • To send marketing communications when you have opted in to receive them
  • To track referral program activity and award referral credits
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve application features and performance
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and technical issues
  • To aggregate and anonymize data for product research and improvement

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, Flux relies on the following:

  • Performance of a Contract — Processing necessary to provide the Service you have subscribed to, including account management, billing, tax estimate generation, and core application features.
  • Legitimate Interests — Processing for service improvement, fraud prevention, security, and analytics, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Consent — Processing for marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Legal Obligation — Processing required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal process.

6. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

Flux does not sell your personal information. We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Base44 — Application hosting, account authentication, and database infrastructure. Because Base44 hosts the Flux application, it processes substantially all data described in this policy on our behalf.
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
  • MailerLite — Email communications and marketing
  • Hotjar / Contentsquare — User behavior analytics
  • Google reCAPTCHA — Fraud prevention
  • HelpScout — Customer support platform, comprising Beacon (in-app help article search), Docs (the help center article library), and Inbox (email and chat support, where our team responds to messages)
  • Sentry — Error monitoring and diagnostic logging
  • UserJot — In-app product feedback and feature request management, available only to logged-in users

All service providers are contractually required to use your data only to perform services for Flux and to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality standards.

Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: comply with applicable law or legal process; respond to lawful requests from government or law enforcement authorities; enforce our Terms of Service; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Flux, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of Flux's assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill contractual obligations, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

  • Active Accounts — Data is retained for the duration of your active account and subscription.
  • Inactive Accounts — If your account has been inactive for 24 consecutive months and you have not responded to inactivity notices, we may anonymize or delete your account data after providing advance email notice.
  • Pay Stub Uploads — Uploaded pay stub files are permanently deleted immediately upon successful parsing. Only the structured data extracted from the document is retained.
  • Account Deletion Requests — When you request account deletion, your data is scheduled for permanent deletion 7 days after the request is submitted. During this 7-day window, you retain full access to your account and may cancel the deletion request. After 7 days, all account data — including financial records, work logs, tax profile information, Time Off Bank data, and Sandbox Mode data — is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.
  • Legal Hold — We may retain certain data beyond the above periods if required by law, regulation, or ongoing legal proceedings.

8. International Data Transfers

Flux is operated in the United States and is intended for use by U.S.-based users. Your data is stored and processed in the United States. If you access Flux from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using Flux, you consent to this transfer.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Regardless of your location, Flux provides the following rights to all users:

  • Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Data exports are available in CSV and PDF formats directly from your account.

  • Marketing Opt-Out — You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@flux-app.io. We will verify your identity before processing requests and respond in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

Flux is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. Users represent and warrant that they are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to use the Service.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a user under 18, we will take prompt steps to delete that information from our systems. If you believe we may have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately at support@flux-app.io.

12. Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Specific security measures include:

  • Stripe tokenization for all payment data — raw card details are never stored on Flux systems

Despite our security measures, no method of electronic transmission or data storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

13. Indemnification

By using Flux, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LVGreen LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Flux application
  • Any data you submit, upload, or transmit through the Service, including inaccurate or fraudulent financial or tax information
  • Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party

This indemnification obligation will survive termination of your account and your use of the Service.

14. Cookies and Tracking Notice

Flux uses essential cookies required for application functionality (such as session management) and non-essential cookies for analytics purposes (Hotjar, Contentsquare). We display a notice upon your first visit informing you of our cookie use.

You may manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may impair the functionality of the Flux application. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, but we do not sell data regardless.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. If we make material changes — including changes to the categories of data we collect or the service providers who process it — we will provide notice by email to your registered address and/or by posting a prominent notice within the Flux application at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of Flux after the effective date of any updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must discontinue use of the Service and may request account deletion.
